Resize Image Dimensions in Pixels

The exam portal wants 350×450, Instagram wants a square, and your photo is some random size from your phone camera. Type the numbers or tap a preset — your image comes out exactly the right size, right in your browser.

Resizing Isn't Magic — It's Careful Math

Every image is a grid of pixels, and resizing means rebuilding that grid at a new size. Shrinking from 4000×3000 to 800×600? The tool blends groups of pixels together so edges stay clean and text stays readable instead of turning into jagged stairs.

All of this happens through your browser's built-in canvas engine — on your own device. No server ever sees your photo, which matters a lot when the image is a signature, an ID document, or anything else you'd rather keep private.

How It Works, Start to Finish

[WORKFLOW 01 — 03]
01.

Your Photo Loads Locally

The browser reads your image straight into memory and shows you its current dimensions and file size. Nothing is sent over the internet.

STAGE: LOCAL PARSING
02.

Set Your Target

Type exact pixel numbers or tap a preset. The aspect ratio lock keeps proportions honest — no stretched faces, no oval logos.

Download and Use

The resized image is saved in whichever format you picked — WebP, JPG, or PNG — and ready to attach, upload, or submit.

Questions People Actually Ask

[KNOWLEDGE BASE]

Will resizing make my photo blurry?

Making a photo smaller usually keeps it sharp — sometimes even sharper-looking, since the browser smooths the remaining pixels nicely. Making a tiny photo bigger is the tricky part: the tool can't invent detail that was never there, so a low-resolution image stretched up will look soft. When in doubt, shrink rather than enlarge.

What's the difference between resizing and compressing?

Resizing changes how many pixels the image has — its width and height. Compressing keeps the same pixel count but packs the file into fewer kilobytes. Need both? Resize here first, then run the result through our Image Compressor to hit a strict size limit.

Why do portals reject photos with the wrong dimensions?

Government and exam systems print your photo onto fixed-size admit cards and application forms. If the proportions don't match what their template expects, faces come out stretched or squashed — so their software simply refuses the file before that can happen. Matching the requested dimensions (and keeping the aspect ratio locked) avoids the rejection entirely.

Are my ID documents and signatures safe here?

Yes. Everything happens inside your browser's memory through the HTML5 Canvas API — your image never travels to a server, never gets stored, and never passes through anyone else's hands. Close the tab, and it's gone.
